Eight long months in quarantine and we’re finally able to travel again! This would be our first quarantine travel as a family and we couldn’t be happier! For the past few months , I have been messaging a lot of resorts near Manila if they are already open and if they allow kids, however, most of them don’t. Some of them require a travel pass, health certificate, and even a rapid/swab test. Yes, it’s hard to travel during these times, especially if you have kids, but we found this resort through a friend! Thanks, Roma!

It’s Kyle’s 11th birthday, and I know, my boys are super bored staying in the house for too long. I had to make sure we go somewhere fun. Valentino Resort and Spa is just 2 hours away from our house, located at Brgy. San Jose, 4227, Batangas. You can easily find it in Waze as well (there was no checkpoint). I booked our accommodation through their Facebook page. You may also contact them via their mobile numbers, 0917-5155936 and 0939-9076694. To view more photos of their facilities and rooms, you can visit their website http:www.valentinoresortandspa.com.ph/. Also, they are cashless, you’re required to pay 50% down payment for reservation and do a bank transfer of the remaining 50% balance upon arrival. A security deposit of PHP 1,000 is required per room. Also, when ordering food, you also have to do a bank transfer. As far as I know, no swiping of cards.

Although they don’t have strict requirements, our safety is still the resort’s priority.

Our car was disinfected before entering the gate, and they also ask you to wash your hands before going into the resort.

Here are the rates: (I hope it’s readable)

Sadly, most of their facilities are closed. Like the Sports Center, Go Kart Circuit and Spa. Maybe it’ll open in the future, you can follow their Facebook page to get notified.

You’ll see directions like this all throughout the resort, and since it’s a huge place, this is really helpful.

ROOMS

We booked two rooms since their villas were fully booked, it could’ve been cheaper if we’re in one villa. So, we booked one Deluxe and one Junior suite. Both have free breakfast for two. Nothing a fancy about the rooms, they cabinet, normal bathroom, there’s air-condition, mini sofa, television, and free water/coffee.

Deluxe Suite – PHP 3,000

Junior Suite – PHP 3,250

This is what the villa looks like, you can park your car beside it. It’s like having your own apartment.

SWIMMING POOL

We enjoyed the pool. They have two pools, two and a half maybe? First pool was right across our rooms. It’s a big one with a Jazuzzi. I was hoping the jacuzzis’ water is hot though, but it was also cold. Maybe because it was raining.

I enjoyed the lounge chair too, perfect for relaxing

This is the second pool. We didn’t swim here because there’s more people staying here due to the kiddie pool and playground beside it. Hence the photo since this was taken very early in the morning.

Did I mention that they also cater to weddings? Yes, they have a huge pavilion, and a lot of Instagrammable places for photo shoots, like this one.

And this hanging bridge as well where you can see a lot of plants, and view of the pools

MARIA BAR & RESTAURANT

They have their own restaurant called Maria where you’ll have your free breakfast. But, they don’t only serve breakfast, they serve also have lunch and dinner meals. Here’s the menu:

During our dinner, they surprised Kyle with a birthday ice cream. It was so thoughtful of them!

I love their lights at night, you can just literally walk around after a full meal and enjoy the ambiance of the place.

Look at my handsome boys chilling by the pool. How much they’ve grown! Proud mom here!❤️

PLANTITA

If you’re a “plantita” like me, you’ll love it here! Nature at its finest, so many plants, flowers, and trees. I took photos of some plants, not sure what others are called though.

I was so happy to see a lot of huge Calathea Luteas, same as my little one at home

Huge Selloum

Elephant ear? Maybe?

Before going home, we had to go to the information to get our deposit. There’s a cute golf cart parked, ready to take you to your room if you don’t have a car

I hope this blog helps and you got all the information you need before visiting Valentino Resort and Spa. You may watch our vlog to see and feel the resort:
