Among all my trips in the Philippines, I would say this is one of the best and most expensive so far. It was our friend’s birthday and this was a gift to her, fortunately, we were included in the gift! When we were asked to be accomplices, we eagerly helped in surprising her of this Bohol trip. Thank you, Tin! 🙂
He booked the airfare and we looked for a package since the gifter didn’t want us to have a hard time with the accomodation and land tours. He wants the birthday girl, Tin, to enjoy her special day. The package includes van transfers, accomodation (with free use of all amenities and spa), chocolate hills, tarsier, man-made forest and loboc river cruise.
The resort was simply AMAZING!!! Just look at the pictures. For updated rates and if you want to book through them directly, you can check their website Panglao Island Nature Resort & Spa.
And then the gifter came with his friend. After lunch, we went diving!!! Waaah, this was my first dive and I loved it so much. This was the only thing I paid for. It costs Php3,500 for beginners with lessons. Although I didn’t have a license, they allowed me to dive. Yay! 🙂
The feeling was indescribable. It was so awesome to see things under the sea. My dive master told me I did good on my first 15 minutes, so he let me join my friends on the deeper part of the ocean. I truly believe that I was a mermaid in my past life. I really want to live near the sea and have a house by the beach. 🙂
Before leaving for Manila, we did our land tours.
Then, ATV around the chocolate hills. This was optional in the package because it has extra payment. We paid Php450 per ATV and Php50 to go to the barangay. Tips: Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and put sunblock. The road is rough and sometimes muddy, always be careful with your speed. (and yes I’m saying this because I fell 😦 )
So there’s our 3 days and 2 nights Bohol adventure. I’m want to go back with my family soon! 🙂
I know this blog is not for budget travelers but there’s a lot of budget hotels and inns there too. You may check this website I saw online http://www.infobohol.com/bohol-budget-hotels-and-resorts/.
Bohol is really nice and you really have to include this place in your bucket list! 🙂 For more adventures, click here.
