Kalanggaman Island is Love❤️

Kalanggaman Island is one of the most beautiful island in the Philippines. It is located in the Visayas Region. It is popular for the clear water, white sand and sand bar. 

Going there from Manila to Leyte would take:

• Airplane (AirAsia, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines). 1 hour plane ride
• Bus (Philtranco, Silver Star, DLTB). 24 hours bus drive

Our good friend, Grey, decided to celebrate her birthday at Kalanggaman Island. Kaeser and I have been talking about going there for quite some time already. And I’ve been wanting to go there even before it became so popular since my Mom’s province is also Leyte. So this was the perfect time. 🙂

From Ormoc, Leyte it will take 2 hours drive going to Palompon, Leyte. We paid Php110 each and took UV Express going to Palompon, Leyte.

There are no stores in the island but there’s a wet market at Palompon where you can buy food and water. By the way, there’s also no electricity there so I suggest to bring powerbank and flashlight if you will stay overnight.

The boat going to Kalanggaman Island from Palompon costs Php3,000. Good thing, there were people waiting in the boat so we just joined the group. We were 16 in the boat, so we only paid Php187.50 per pax. Here are the possible expenses going to the island:

• Boat – Php3,000
• Day Tour fee – Php150
• Overnight fee – Php250
• Cottage – Php200 or Php400 depending on the size
• Tent – Php250
• Beach Bed – Php50

Boat ride was 45 minutes.

Once the boat parked, all we can say was “Wow!”. It was really beautiful. 🙂

I wish we stayed longer. Maybe we’ll just come back and do overnight next time. It was really an awesome time with my love and friends in this beautiful island. 🙂
