Chocolate Banana Smoothie Bowl

Missing Bali, Siargao or La Union? I do! I re-created their famous smoothie bowls! Something healthy to boost your energy during breakfast, good for afternoon snack too!

Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • 2 small frozen bananas
  • 1/4 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey

Topping Ingredients:

  • 1 sliced banana
  • Cacao nibs
  • Almond slices
  • Chia seeds


  • On a blender – add frozen bananas, milk, ice cubes, cocoa powder and honey
  • Pulse until everything is well combined
  • For a thicker smoothie, you may want to add less ice cubes
  • Pour the smoothie into a bowl
  • Top it with chia seeds, sliced banana, chocolate chips or cacao nibs, and sliced almonds
